  1. His Majesty's Dragon is a wonderful choice for this topic, I'm kicking myself for not having it on my own list. Likewise The Enchanted Forest chronicles. Can't beat friendship with dragons.

  2. You're the second blog I've seen Firefly Lane on. I'm going to have to go check it out. I totally agree about the Harry Potter series. There are such strong friendships in the series.

  8. I've got to give Kristin Hannah a try. It seems like I've been seeing her everywhere lately. So agree about Harry Potter and LOTR. I'm going to have to give The Traveling Pants series a try. I read her scifi book and liked the writing though didn't care for the story. Great list!

    1. Firefly Lane was the first time I read her (and that was just the other day) I put off reading her books for years since I'm not a women's fiction/chick lit reader (though I love romance) and it totally surprised me. I haven't read Ann's sci-fi stuff but I definitely recommend The Sisterhood :)

  9. It seems that I also need to try Kristin Hannah. Not usually my kind of books, but I have seen them recommended so many times that I just need to try for myself.
