Jaime, you must be half-dead"

He laughed tiredly, holding me close with one large warm hand on the small of my back.

"A lot more than half, Sassenach. I'm knackered, and my cock's the only thing too stupid to know it. I canna lie wi' ye without wanting you, but wanting's all I'm like to do.

  1. Poor man but I like that he's not superman or the energizer bunny. This is more realistic.

    1. Gabaldon creates wonderfully realistic people :) It's one of the many things I love about her writing.

    1. YOU HAVE TO READ IT! Maybe you need the motivation like a buddy read? I'd so re-read it with you and maybe spread it out over a month or so. Let me know if you're interested Anna!

  5. I have this on my someday pile since I have heard such great things about it. I am hearing that accent in my head.... Gerard Butler anyone?

    1. Yes to the Gerard Butler Accent but he wouldn't really fit the role of Jamie to well. Starz network is doing a show and the guy they cast as Jamie is Sam Heughan is perfect for the role. I hope you read it soon Judith, it's one of my favourites.
